On the local level, our RGV Vipers will be sporting a new head coach, whose identity is unknown at this point in time. Coach Finch's shoes will not be easily filled, but I have no doubt that a capable leader will surface when all is said and done.

It will be interesting to see next year's roster once the NBA owners and Players Union settle their differences. The new draft choices may very well see D-League playing time as the Rockets try to develop them into NBA players.  This should be an exciting time for local fans as highly talented young players show us their stuff...

Thanks Aaron, thanks Shane!

It is appropriate to thank Aaron Brooks and Shane Battier for their contributions to the Houston Rockets over the years. Both will be missed, and should be thanked for their service.

As their careers continue, I wish them well and hope that they have fond memories of their Rocket and Viper time. Best of luck to both of them!

Great Interview with Dan Reed - Development League President
